The last year has shown that Rob Font is up for whatever, whenever. Place an opponent in front of him, and he’s ready. He’s been ready for Raul Rosas Jr., someone he can’t wait to get his hands on at UFC 326.

A win, and Font is back to being ranked high in the bantamweight rankings. Beating Rosas, a highly-rated young gun, would be the perfect cherry on top to the start of his 2026.

Font (22-9) started 2025 by facing and beating prospect Jean Matsumoto. He was initially meant to fight Dominick Cruz. In September, he was supposed to fight Rosas. However, an injury forced Rosas out, and Font was beaten by replacement opponent David Martinez.

A native of Central Massachusetts, Font is 2-2 in his last four fights. While there are other fighters Font, ranked thirteenth, could face, he’s focused on facing the one that got away in the 21-year-old, unranked Rosas (11-1).

“I’ve been hearing his name for a while, and I do like the matchup. I do like the hype that's going on behind this kid right now,” Font told MMA Junkie. “He has a big buzz, he has a big following. It's still kind of an opportunity. Obviously he's not ranked – he's not in the top 15.

“It's a fight that excites me. It's not a fight that necessarily moves me forward as far as up the rankings, but it definitely interests me.”

Rosas became the youngest person signed to the UFC at 17. The Dana White's Contender Series alum lost in 2023 and is currently on a four-fight win streak.

The punch-heavy Font lands 5.36 significant strikes per minute, using a clean jab to help him out. Rosas has the edge on the floor, averaging 4.01 takedowns landed per 15 minutes. Font, who has been taken down eleven times in his last three fights, has a 43% takedown defense mark.

If Font can control the distance with that jab, standing mid-range, he can provide damage while disrupting Rosas' game plan. He will need to work on his takedown defense or avoid key mistakes that Rosas can take advantage of.

That’s a common theme in the last few fights of his career.

Font is getting the fight he’s been waiting for. It’s up to the 38-year-old to be prepared and ready to strike when the first bell rings.
